Congratulations 
The grade 5's led the school in a third week Advent liturgy yesterday.  The feedback was very positive.  Please ask your children to tell you about it.  I am so proud of them.

Homework
-Christmas Karaoke assignment -students will be performing in front of the primary students tomorrow - some of the students still need some more practice tonight

Reminders  
-The following students volunteered yesterday to bring Christmas treats for our Advent celebration on Friday - Meghan, Seth, Chelsea, Quintin, Tayler, Chantel - if you are not able to bring treats please just let me know as we have more than enough volunteers 
-Thanks to Kim's mom for coordinating a volunteer to drop off the food hamper
-Thank you to Paige's family who dropped off the food hamper on Wednesday - the family was very grateful for your generosity
-We need a parent volunteer to check out books for library period Tuesday's from 10:45-11:15 starting in January.  Please contact me if you can.

Reading reminder

Don't forget to encourage your child to read for 20 minutes every night.  A few reading suggestions:  
Sunday - Child reads silently 
Monday - Parent reads out loud to child
Tues - Child reads out loud to parent  
Wed - Child listens to audio book (available at the Public Library and on iTunes) and follows along in a paper copy of the book
Thurs - Child reads to sibling
