The Advent Conspiracy
We recently watched this video in class entitled the Advent Conspiracy.  Students have set goals about things they could do to make Advent and Christmas more meaningful.  Please watch the video and discuss it with your child.

Reminders  

-Wear Christmas concert outfits to school Thurs morning-Christmas concert clothing. Boys please wear black pants, dress shirt, and a tie.  Girls please wear dress clothes with a scarf.
-We need a parent volunteer to drop off our food hamper - please contact Mr. Wagner to volunteer 
-We need a parent volunteer to check out books for library period Tuesday's from 10:45-11:15.  Please contact me if you can.
-Secret Angel gift - students have all received a classmate to buy a gift for as well as a list of some of their favourite gifts.  The price range is $5. Gifts are due Wed Dec 19.

-30 Day Gospel Prayer Challenge- students are encouraged to pray everyday and read the 21 chapters of the Gospel of John between Nov 15-Dec 15.  (ONLY 3 DAYS LEFT)

Reading reminder
Don't forget to encourage your child to read for 20 minutes every night.  A few reading suggestions:  
Sunday - Child reads silently 
Monday - Parent reads out loud to child
Tues - Child reads out loud to parent  
Wed - Child listens to audio book (available at the Public Library and on iTunes) and follows along in a paper copy of the book
Thurs - Child reads to sibling
