Don't forget to encourage your child to read for 20 minutes everyday.  A few reading suggestions:
-Parent reads out loud to child
-Child reads out loud to parent
-Child listens to audio book (available at the Public Library and on iTunes) and follows along in a paper copy of the book
-Child reads silently
