Reading reminder
Don't forget to encourage your child to read for 20 minutes every night. A few reading suggestions:
Sunday - Child reads silently
Monday - Parent reads out loud to child
Tues - Child reads out loud to parent
Wed - Child listens to audio book (available at the Public Library and on iTunes) and follows along in a paper copy of the book
Thurs - Child reads to sibling

-Spelling Test -no test this week
-French Test -Tues Nov 20-Math Definition test -Tues Nov 20

Reminders
-30 Day Gospel
Prayer Challenge- students are encouraged to pray everyday and read the
21 chapters of the Gospel of John between Nov 15-Dec 15. -6 Day Unplugged Challenge - Nov 15-21 -We are taking this on as part of our Occupational Therapist program with Deb Warring to improve sleep and student learning. Research shows that using media (computer, tv, video games, iPods etc.) 90 minutes or less before bed can have negative effects. Students are challenged to avoid all media 60 minutes before bed for the next 6 days
-Emergency Plan note went home last week
-Donations of gently used coats and boots for St. John Community School -pls drop off at front office
